What we’re looking for

Are you a skilled writer? Natural teacher? Do you have a passion for finding the best way to organize and communicate information to others? Then we want you to develop and write courses for our online entrepreneurial education platform. We’re looking for someone who can easily slip into the roles of teacher, writer and project manager… and often be all three at once!

  • Manage multiple program development projects simultaneously by prioritizing project deadlines
  • Track program development life cycles and ensure that any problems are addressed, escalated when needed and resolved quickly
  • Manage and communicate with development and support resources to ensure successful implementation of projects.
  • Manage, create and maintain all documents including program binders, syllabi, textbooks and online course resources.
  • Provide input to course catalog to reflect new/revised program information.
  • Collaborate with the Education Team and review proposed project efforts to determine scope, key milestones and time frame
  • Partner with guest faculty to develop proprietary courses
  • Create original material in support of the ONTRAPORT Education Program including ebooks, courses and course collateral.
  • Translate product, sales and technical training requirements into online training materials.
Required Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in writing, business, communication or related field
  • Experience in education/teaching experience a plus
  • Advanced degree a plus
  • Experience developing in standard e-learning tools such as Camtasia, Captivate, Flash, HTML, Articulate and PowerPoint
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills— Must speak and write fluent English
  • Experience in professional or academic writing
  • Experience writing or editing training course materials, white papers, presentations and/or analysis documents
  • Deep familiarity with adult learning theory and design methodologies
  • Excellent visual and creative skills
  • Ability to communicate ideas and concepts clearly and accurately
  • Attention to quality, detail and consistency
  • Analytical, and intuitive problem-solving skills
  • Strong decision making skills
  • Ability to drive results and execute in short and/or compressed timelines

The ONTRAPORT videographer will help conceptualize, coordinate and lead all shooting and editing of brand, product and educational videos. The videographer will complete the bulk of the technical tasks related to production and post-production. This includes sound editing, motion graphics when needed, and professional lighting for both studio and location shoots. This person will transport, set-up and operate all necessary equipment, as well as coordinate staging, set preparation and dressing for each shoot. He or she will also be responsible for capturing events as they happen on campus via digital photos. The videographer will work closely with the Design Director, the Brand Director and the Education Director to execute each concept through to completion.

Primary duties:
  • Determine what camera, sound and lighting equipment is necessary and source as needed
  • Transport, set-up and operate various production equipment including camera, audio and video recorders, lighting equipment, and props for both location and studio production
  • Operate and maintain proper levels and calibration of cameras, audio and video recorders and other production equipment
  • Stay up-to-date and maintain proficiency in After Effects CC, Premiere Pro CC and Camtasia
  • Familiarize and become knowledgeable regarding ONTRAPORT’s product functionality as it pertains to Education and Content needs
  • Help source or create background music for each video
  • Support and lead team throughout production process, which may include finding and interviewing subjects, creating graphics and presenting final drafts internally
  • Help sustain and guide creative process
  • Document, maintain and organize video footage on servers to be easily located for future projects
  • Develop treatments and storyboards for new creative concepts
  • Coordinate all details for shoots including location, props, special equipment rental and other needs
  • Prep talent for script memorization and communication of the goals for each shoot
Additional responsibilities may include:
  • Two years of practical related experience are required in audio/video recording, production and editing or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of basic news gathering and storytelling techniques with the ability to lend a creative eye.
  • Expert knowledge of video production equipment, basic lighting and audio recording skills.
  • Proficiency in timeline based editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro CC, Adobe After Effects CC, familiarity with Photoshop & Illustrator CC, familiarity with Adobe Audition or other DAW/audio software).
  • Manages multiple tasks under pressure and can adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
